It was a pleasure to co-organize the panel “Women in Business: The Belgian-Serbia Path to Success” with the Economic and Trade Office of the Embassy of Belgium and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia (CCIS).
The Chamber of Commerce of Serbia supports women entrepreneurs in starting and growing their businesses, offering services such as access to financing, risk management, business plan training, and networking, as emphasized by Đorđe Živanović, Advisor to the President of CCIS, during the panel opening.
We were proud to see brilliant women both among the panelists and in the audience, including panelists from our member companies Puratos – Dragana Samardžija Kričak and New Image – Ana Barjaktarović, as well as our Board Member Marija Tasić, founder of Tasić & Partners, who shared their experiences and inspiring success stories.
At the event, stories were shared about the challenges and achievements of women driving change in their industries — from digitalization and startups, to marketing and export, and from gender-responsive budgeting to corporate governance. The discussion focused on both the challenges and opportunities for women in business – from strengthening women’s roles in management structures and gender-responsive budgeting, to developing the startup ecosystem, digital transformation, and the IT industry.
To close the panel on an inspiring note, Galina Tasic Tasić presented the Mybiznest app – a female-owned startup dedicated to empowering women’s entrepreneurship by providing users easy access to all relevant financial and non-financial support directly through the app.
When women come together, exchange experiences, and connect, the outcomes are powerful and transformative. Initiatives like this strengthen the ties between Belgium and Serbia, creating fertile ground for new collaborations, joint projects, and long-term partnerships.
