Belgian-Serbian Business Association was pleased to serve as a co-organizer of the third consecutive annual conference “Green Energy Transition – Energy Transformation through Sustainable Investments and Circular Development,” held on 1 June 2026 in Belgrade, in cooperation with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia, the Hellenic Business Association of Serbia, the Croatian Business Club, and the British-Serbian Chamber of Commerce.
The conference served as an important regional platform for dialogue on sustainable development and green transition, bringing together over 100 participants from the business, financial, legal, and energy sectors. Discussions focused on financing renewable energy projects, green financial instruments such as bonds and investment funds, investment strategies in the energy sector, and the implementation of circular economy principles in industry and construction.
The first panel, “Financing Green Projects and Investments,” moderated by Radman Selmić, featured esteemed member Marija Tasić (Tasić & Partners), alongside representatives from UniCredit Bank, Mott MacDonald, and Marsh. The discussion explored evolving approaches to financing green projects, with a focus on risk assessment, investment structures, and the role of financial and insurance instruments in supporting the energy transition.
The second panel, “Circular Economy and the Implementation of Circular Business Models,” moderated by Siniša Mitrović, included valued member Slobodan Mihajlović (Structura Concept), together with representatives from Titan Cementara Kosjerić, Alumil YU Industry, and Mijatović – Providžalo Law Office. The panel addressed practical pathways for implementing circular business models, from industrial material reuse and recycling systems to regulatory and market challenges shaping the transition.
The conference concluded with a networking lunch, further strengthening regional cooperation and exchange of ideas in the field of sustainable development.
