We are pleased to share the highlights from our recently co-organized event focused on Price Adjustment Mechanisms in Construction Contracts—a highly relevant topic in today’s dynamic construction environment.
The event, organized in collaboration with the Economic and Trade Office of the Embassy of Belgium and supported by the Construction Industry Association of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia, brought together more than 100 professionals from across the construction sector.
Our goal was to address one of the most pressing challenges in the construction industry: how to adapt to fluctuating prices and manage financial risks effectively in ongoing and future contracts.
The legal framework surrounding this issue was presented by Filip Zivanovic, attorney at the law office Nikcevic & Kapor, a member of our association. His presentation provided a solid legal foundation for understanding how price adjustment clauses can be effectively implemented and enforced within Serbia’s legal system.
In addition to the legal perspective, the event featured a dynamic panel discussion with speakers from companies actively engaged in the construction industry. We were honored to welcome representatives from our member-companies Reynaers Aluminium and Cordeel Belgrade, alongside experts from Aliaxis and STRABAG. Each panelist brought forward their firsthand experience with price adjustment in contracts, sharing practical examples and lessons learned from navigating supply chain disruptions, material cost volatility, and project delays.
We are proud to have created a platform for such an important exchange of knowledge and experience. The strong turnout and active participation demonstrated just how timely and essential this topic is for the industry.
