The Belgian-Serbian Business Association, Hellenic Business Association of Serbia, Swiss-Serbian Chamber of Commerce, and the Croatian Business Club organized a seminar “Government Incentives for Business Development” in collaboration with the Development Agency of Serbia and the Development Fund of the RS. The event took place on March 13, 2025, at the IN Hotel.

This significant event was organized as a continuation of the initiative to strengthen dialogue between the private sector and state institutions, a longstanding effort carried out by these four bilateral business associations. During the seminar, representatives of member companies had the opportunity to learn about available support programs that provide grants for improving productivity, competitiveness, and exports, as well as regulations to encourage direct investments.

On this occasion, Nikola Janković, Director of the Sector for International Cooperation at the Development Agency of Serbia, presented investment incentives for companies operating in the Republic of Serbia. Senior advisors for SME support, Mirjana Aleksić and Mirjana Isailović, then introduced specific support programs aimed at sustainable growth of the SME sector, among which the most important were programs for supporting local suppliers involved in the production of components and parts, export promotion, and improving product and service safety.

Following this, Sonja Nikić, Head of the Department for Loans and Guarantees at the Fund for Development, presented the programs designed to stimulate business operations for legal entities and entrepreneurs in Serbia. These included investment loans intended for long-term investment needs of companies, as well as loans for working capital and liquidity, aimed at ensuring the continuity of business operations.

In addition to being informative, the seminar was interactive, allowing participants to ask questions, share experiences, and actively engage in dialogue with experts. After the working session, a cocktail reception was organized, offering an opportunity for business networking and further discussions.
