The Belgian-Serbian Business Association (BSBA) is proud to announce that, as one of the co-founders of the Council of European Business Associations and Chambers in Serbia (CEBAC), we had the pleasure of attending the official signing ceremony of the “Partnership for Equality”, a landmark agreement between CEBAC and Mrs. Brankica Janković, Commissioner for the Protection of Equality.
This partnership marks the beginning of an important and much-needed collaboration aimed at advancing equality, diversity, and inclusion in the workplace. Through this initiative, companies will be encouraged and supported in strengthening their capacities to develop and implement inclusive labor policies and foster working environments free from discrimination. By building awareness and promoting best practices, the “Partnership for Equality” aspires to create a fairer, more supportive business climate across Serbia.
During the ceremony, our president, Hugo Van Veghel, addressed the participants and concluded his speech with a meaningful quote from Marie-Colline Leroy, former Belgian Secretary of State for Gender Equality, Equal Opportunities and Diversity: “Equality is not a static achievement but a dynamic process requiring perpetual vigilance.”
As an association, BSBA will continue to uphold and promote these values, working actively to encourage companies to foster inclusive, diverse, and supportive workplaces. We firmly believe that equality and inclusion are not only ethical imperatives but also essential components of sustainable business development and responsible corporate governance.
