On October 8th, the Belgian-Serbian Business Association, Hellenic Business Association of Serbia, and Italian-Serbian Chamber of Commerce organized an interactive workshop titled How to Effectively Manage a Crisis and Protect a Company’s Reputation.
During the session, Natalija Racković, the General Director of V+O Communication, emphasized that a company’s reputation is always at risk, and communication has become increasingly complex and rapid in the era of social media. Crises are no longer confined to specific industries, as was once the case; they can arise in any sector due to internal events, inadequate communication across various platforms, or global industry developments. Consequently, it is crucial for companies to understand the market, trends, their industry, and their audience, and to engage them respectfully in their operations, as they serve as both recipients and senders of the message.
Participants also explored how companies can predict crises and the importance of having a crisis communication manual. Additionally, they learned about the significance of training key team members in public speaking as part of their crisis response preparation. The workshop included discussions on effective responses during a crisis and strategies for rebuilding a company’s reputation afterward.
After the formal part, participants had the opportunity to network and exchange experiences in a more informal atmosphere.
