From October 9 to 11, 2024, the Trade and Economic Office of the Embassy of Belgium hosted a successful multisectoral economic mission, featuring 29 Belgian companies across diverse sectors such as construction, IT, engineering, food, pharma, and consultancy. During this two-day event, the delegation engaged in over 150 B2B meetings with more than 130 Serbian businesses, uncovering numerous opportunities in the Serbian market and showcasing the significant interest from Belgian firms, as well as the strong potential for enhancing trade relations between Belgium and Serbia.
The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia shared valuable insights into key economic trends and growth sectors in the region. Additionally, Milica Vranjanac, Executive Director of the BSBA, took the opportunity to present the Association’s activities and initiatives. Her presentation highlighted the diverse opportunities available for Belgian companies in Serbia, emphasizing the potential for collaboration and networking among members. Milica also discussed the importance of building connections and fostering relationships within the local business community, illustrating how the BSBA can support its members in navigating the Serbian market.
HE Cathy Buggenhout welcomed the delegation at the Belgian Residence, creating an excellent atmosphere for participants to connect with local businesses, institutions, and organizations.
This strong turnout of Belgian companies and the high number of meetings with local firms and institutions once again demonstrated the tremendous potential for enhancing trade relations between Belgium and Serbia.
