From 6 to 13 September 2024, 18 students from Belgian VIVES University for Applied Sciences participated in a Honours Degree Bootcamp in Serbia. The event has a lasting impact and is still generating excitement among the students!

During this week, with support of the BSBA, and contributions of TARAIC and ICTTI, participants visited the University of Novi Sad and the Science and Technology Park Novi Sad. On the 10th, they were welcomed by professors for an engaging session on electric vehicles, followed by a lab tour. Additionally, a connection was made with the startup community at the Science and Technology Park, where inspiring stories were shared, encouraging students to tap into their entrepreneurial spirit.

The students explored important questions: The technology is ready, but how do we shift the human mindset to enable a transition toward a sustainable future? How do students bring people along with their vision for the future?

On the 11th, visiting BSBA member EyeSee, this topic was further explored through behavioural research using a TikTok case, offering practical insights and strategies. Networking opportunities also played a key role, as our ambassador Cathy Buggenhout hosted a lunch in her residence bringing together students, key partners and the Ministry of Education of Serbia.

This experience significantly challenged the students’ skills, especially in social, international, entrepreneurial, and 21st-century competencies.
