Europe Day, May 9th, marks the anniversary of the historical “Schuman declaration” which proposed the creation of a European Coal and Steel Community, the forerunner to the European Union and is being celebrated as the birthday of the EU.

Thousands of people across the EU celebrate this day with more than 140 events and activities organised all across the EU, with nearly half of the events taking place in Belgium, home of the European Union’s HQ.

Europe Day was also marked throughout Serbia in 2019, with a series of events such as sports activities, concerts, debates etc.
Representatives of the Belgian Serbian Business Association were invited to a concert following the Europe Day reception hosted by the Head of the EU Delegation to Serbia, Ambassador Fabrizi, on May 9th at the Kombank Hall in Belgrade.

The concert at the Kombank Hall featured the youth orchestra “Muzika Nade” performing together with the well-known Serbian and international artists such Bajaga i Instruktori, Vasil Hadzimanov, Johanna Sierralta.
